Pen with Watercolor: Roosters!
Online Watercolor Workshop
Friday, September 18th — Saturday, September 19th
Location: Online via Zoom
Join us online to learn the exciting methods of pen with watercolor. This is a great workshop to prepare for sketches and journaling. Learn to enhance your art with clean glazes of watercolor. Linda teaches in a comfortable engaging step-by-step approach. The Rooster is a wonderful painting when finished. Beginners and all levels are welcome.
Linda will demonstrate in sessions 1 and 2; session 3 is a discussion and review of your art. During your time on Zoom, working on your own painting. You will receive an email with downloadable Rooster image, supply list and pattern.
(Remember these times are Pacific Time – Idaho would be one hour later)
Session 1 — Live Painting Demonstration by Linda – via Zoom Friday, Sept. 18th 6pm-8pm (A link will be sent for the Zoom painting demonstration)
Learn how to draw or trace a Rooster onto watercolor paper. Experience the step-by-step techniques of using pen lines to design the Rooster in preparation for watercolor. You will have a lot of personal style in your pen marks and from the lesson creating your pen and ink Rooster. You will have time to finish your pen work at home and be ready for the next session.
Session 2 — Live Painting demonstration by Linda – via Zoom Saturday, Sept. 19th 10am-1pm (You will receive a link for the Zoom painting demonstration)
You will have an opportunity to show your work from the first class on Zoom for discussion before starting the watercolor portion. Linda will teach methods and tricks of watercolor to add into the pen work done in Session 1. You will learn how to mix watercolor directly on the paper and succeed with luminous colors. Enjoy the fabulous look of pen with watercolor in this creative experience. You will have time to paint in class and do finishing work outside of class time.
Session 3 — Show Your Work – via Zoom Saturday, Sept. 19th 6pm-8pm (You will receive a link for the Zoom painting discussion)
In this session you will have the opportunity to share your paintings as a group, talk about what is working in the painting and what can be improved.
